Say it with me now – Braaainns. Nokia and Capcom have double-teamed to promote their latest N-Gage title, Resident Evil:Degeneration for the N-Gage platform by giving away a trip to Japan. All you need to do is head on to the site zombiesingles.com.
Zombie Singles is a site to help zombies find their soulmates. Hey, even walking corpses need love too. Just upload a picture of yourself to the site, zombify it appropriately with the helpful tools and you’ll be ready to meet the rotting body of your dreams!
OK, what’s the real reason to join? Not only is the contest open to anyone worldwide, and you get to go to Japan, you also get not one but two N96 phones.
If zombies aren’t your thing, then why not try designing a cool widget for the N97 instead? You could be the envy of fanboys everywhere by winning the much coveted N97 prototype.
Malaysians who’ve been lusting after Nokia’s bargain touchscreen, the 5800 XpressMusic, can bring out their inner videographer by creating a video to the 5800 theme song. Check out the contest and rules here: http://202.190.87.105/html/sites/nokia/5800/index.html
Speaking of the 5800, RG has one in the house! Here’s a snap of the phone with all the accessories the phone comes with. Pretty sweet package – the Malaysian bundle comes with 1000 free song downloads! In the picture is everything in the box: besides the phone and 8GB SDHC memory, there’s an extra stylus, a cute guitar pick, carbon protective case, TV-out cable, headphones, and charger.
NY’s got a review of Nokia’s steal of a touchscreen music phone coming up. The one in the picture will be our little mobile mascot for awhile. I’ve pretty much declared it my personal choice for best entry-to-mid level phone of the year. Nokia’s shipped 1 million units of the phone so far and from what I hear, it’s selling like hotcakes. But over at lowyat.net, disgruntled forum members have been complaining about build issues and other random bugs. That hasn’t stopped another thread from forming over there dedicated to 5800 owners and fans at http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/902444. If you’re more into Facebook than forums, why not head over to the official Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Group Malaysia?
So stay tuned for more Symbian stories and Tube tales here at RovinGeek.com. We will talk Windows Mobile too…when they actually make decent phones running that OS, ZOMG.
